Passio Musicae Open Source was an interactive audio installation exhibited at the Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki as part of the centennial exhibition commemorating composer Jean Sibelius. The work was based on the actual Sibelius Monument located in Helsinki and was led by German sculptor Lukas Kühne in collaboration with students from Finnish art universities. Installed in a room measuring 8 by 10 meters, the piece allowed visitors to explore the hidden sounds of the monument by physically moving through the space. As they walked, sounds derived from the monument’s 569 metal tubes were triggered and spatially diffused, creating a direct sensory experience of the relationship between body, space, and sound.
Passio Musicae Open Source는 헬싱키 아테네움 미술관에서 열린 시벨리우스 100주년 기념 특별전에서 전시된 인터랙티브 오디오 설치 작품으로, 헬싱키에 실재하는 Sibelius Monument 조각을 기반으로 제작되었다. 이 설치물은 독일 조각가 루카스 퀴네(Lukas Kühne)의 주도 아래 핀란드 예술대학 학생들과의 협업으로 이루어졌으며, 관람객이 전시장(8x10m) 공간을 자유롭게 이동하며 기념비의 숨겨진 소리를 탐색할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 움직임에 따라 기념비를 구성하는 569개의 금속 튜브로부터 파생된 사운드가 실시간으로 반응하며 공간에 울려 퍼지고, 이는 신체와 공간, 소리의 관계를 직접적으로 경험하게 한다.
